The department is training students of the next educational qualification levels: "Bachelor" (from 1992), "Specialist" (since 2000) and "Master" (from 2015) in the areas of "Economics of Enterprise" and "Accounting and Auditing ". It has significant scientific and methodical, didactic and educational foundation for the preservation and enrichment of the classical heritage of the past and raising it to a higher, adequate to new innovative requirements, stage of development.

The strategic goal of the department is competitiveness and quality at all levels of organization of scientific research and education process based on programs in entrepreneurship and business economics that are adaptive to the needs of customers and meet educational standards and international requirements today.

The mission of the department is the formation of harmoniously developed personality - a highly qualified economist, able to make informed business decisions in market conditions and be responsible for the performance of the company.

The first head of the department since its creation was the Honored Economist of Ukraine, Candidate of Economy Sciences, Docent Kulaiets Mariia Mykhailivna, who was involved in educational work as highly skilled specialist with experience in the field of Agricultural Economics.

Currently, scientific and pedagogical staff has 14 people: 1 - doctor of sciences, 11 - candidates of sciences, 1 - Senior Lecturer, 1 - assistant. The positive is that the staff replenished with young staff who successfully defended their dissertations, received academic title and productively engaged in scientific and educational work.

Research activities

For the period 2015-2019 the problematic theme of research of the department is "Theoretical and methodological and organizational and economic basis for further development of agriculture production and rural areas in the region." State registration number of the theme - № 0115U003385.). The topic focused on the following solving of tasks:

The aim of this theme is to deepen the theoretical and methodological provisions of agricultural enterprises effective functioning, development of practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of agricultural production units and providing of sustainable rural development.

Each member of the Department of Economics of Enterprise also leads the initiative work on the dissertation.

Material and technical base

There are conditions for improving the research work both of teachers and students at the Department of Economics of Enterprise: the opportunity to use computers; connected to the Internet; open access to the wireless network wi-fi; availability and ability to use scientific periodicals in the library.

Practical lessons on economic subjects held in specially equipped classrooms. There are: 207 – room of organization, planning and forecasting of agricultural production with multimedia teaching tools, 204 – room of economic and mathematical modeling and course and diploma projects, 209 - room of economics of enterprise with multimedia teaching tools, 307 – room of management and marketing (with multimedia teaching tools), 311 - a room of political economy (with multimedia teaching tools) 18l - a room of labor economics and social and industrial relations and rural development (with multimedia training tools).

In order to intensify specialist practical training and their subsequent employment, there is an active cooperation with next companies: ВАТ (open joint-stock company) "Privatbank", ВАТ (open joint-stock company) "UkrSibbank",ПОП (private rental company)"Urmanske", ТОВ (Public Limited Company) "Living Potutory land" and others. Teaching staff of the department constantly keep up the relationship with employers:

• to hold round tables with employers;
• to invite employers to open house, weeks of departments;
• to invite employers to participate in lectures and practical classes.

Teaching staff of the department cooperate with Rzeszów University (Poland). It is planned to continue cooperation with the Rzeszów University through conferences, seminars and research projects.
