General information about the department

The Department of Energy machinery and technical service in AIC was established in 2009 on the basis of the departments of "Tractors and automobiles" and "Repair of the machines." The department was headed by candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Chvartatskyi Igor Ivanovych.

The main tasks of the department are:

• The formation of theoretical knowledge and practical abilities and skills in the field of agricultural mechanization;
• The creation of programs from special and graduation subjects and teaching-methodical complexes, based on modern educational and scientific technologies;
• The providing of the subjects taught at the department by modern teaching literature and electronic educational resources;
• The participation in the performance of scientific-research work on the chief theme "To develop the scientific and information ensuring of sustainable rural development in Western Ukraine" (state registration 0108U008826);
• To guide the research work of students;
• The presentation of research results in national and international professional journals;
• The introduction of scientific developments into production.

General provision

The department of "Energy machinery and technical service in AIC" of SS NULES of Ukraine Berezhany Agrotechnical Institute is a basic teaching, educational and scientific division of Agro-Engineering faculty, which is guided by the Statute of the Institute, the Regulation on the faculty, curriculum and programs of individual subjects. Current activity is regulated by decision of the Academic Council, by order of the director, the deputy of director, and the dean of Agro-Engineering Department.

Functions of the department:

• the conduction of all the types of educational work in academic disciplines and practices at the department in accordance with the existing curriculum;
• the development and regular updating of curricula and programs of disciplines with regard to the state and needs of agricultural mechanization, achievements in agricultural science and practice;
• the providing of educational disciplines by methodical literature and other materials;
• the introduction of monitoring system of current students’ progress, the intersessional analysis of the certification, scoring and test sessions, the transition to grade knowledge;
• the implementation of research work on important areas of agricultural science;
• the summarization of the experience of the best teaching staff, the help for young teachers, the organization of training of teachers in other universities and research institutions;
• the organization of research work of students, the conduction of subject contests, competitions of professional skills;
• the participation in the organizational and educational work of students and students' associations;
• the establishment of creative contacts and exchange of experiences related to the profile of institutions;
• the providing of methodical and advisory assistance to professionals of agricultural enterprises, teachers of the institute;
• the participation in scientific and educational conferences, meetings, seminars on Science and Higher Education.

Tasks of the department:

The main task of the department is to organize and perform on a high theoretical and pedagogical level the training, teaching, organizational and educational work with students of stationary and correspondence departments, students visiting courses.

The department provides educational work on two educationally-qualifying levels - Bachelor and Specialist on the listed below subjects on all licensed specialties of the institute:

The department trains students in the following disciplines:

• tractors and automobiles;
• fuel and lubricants and operating supplies;
• hydraulic agricultural machinery;
• repair of machines;
• technical service in agriculture;
• maintenance of machinery for crop production;
• transport processes in agriculture;
• the reliability of technological systems;
• courses of tractor - driver;
• driving courses for category "B," "B, C"

Practices: Management of agricultural machinery, repair and operating.

The department implements:

•  Provides all kinds of educational and industrial practices, investigated in the curriculum and provides the methodological guidelines;
•  Organizes the conduction of urgent scientific researches in the prior areas of agricultural science and application of the results in production and educational process;
• Regularly updates and improves in accordance with scientific and technical applications laboratory facilities and technical means of training;
• Vocational and economic activity - according to the Regulations on the Institute;
• Advanced training of specialists in agricultural industries;
• -Training of experts in mass working professions.
