The History of the Department

In 1959, by Ministry of Agriculture (order №217 from March 11) in town Berezhany was established the College of Agricultural Mechanization. From that time on the basis of methodical commission of Agricultural Mechanization was laid the foundation of the department. In 2000, after the creation of Berezhany Agrotechnical Institute there was made the reorganization and was established the department of exploitation of machine – tractors parks. In 2006, the department of exploitation of machine – tractors parks was renamed into the department of "Machine usage and technologies in agriculture."

Subjects of scientific researches: "Studying of present-day power-saving technologies in agricultural production and mechanical engineering"

1. Development of technologies for receiving biogas and organic fertilizers from wild energy plants and feasibility study.

2. Development of technologies for producing organic fertilizers from mineralized plant products, animal husbandry and processing industry wastes in biogas plants.

3. Research and development of heat-generating devices for soldering solid fuels.

The Department is the leading graduation department of the faculty. The foundation for the successful conduction of educational process and scientific activity of the department is material and technical basis.

There was created on the department a library of educational and methodical literature, video library, which includes 85 films and programs. All laboratories are equipped with active fragments of agricultural equipment, models and relevant materials.

The department conducts self-supporting activities in rendering the extension services to economies of the region, concerning the questions of production technologies and processing of agricultural products and mechanization of production processes.
