Faculty Agroengineering and Energy - one of the oldest departments of the Institute and was founded on the basis of Berezhany technical collage of agriculture mechanization.

The educational concept of the faculty is to train a new generation of specialists in the area of mechanization of crop, livestock, engineering of agrobiosystem, forestry and landscape management based on the modern educational standards, adapted to the requirements of the world's best educational programmes.

The faculty prepares masters, specialist mechanical engineers and bachelors of Forestry and Horticulture.

Curriculum, subjects and work programs are adapted to the curriculum of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. The elements of scientific research and innovation activity and the latest achievements in agricultural production are introduced in the educational process.

There are four departments on the faculty: department of power machines and technical service in agriculture; general engineering training; machine using and technologies in agriculture. The teaching process is carried out by 32 teaching staff, including 2 doctors, 20 Candidates of Science and 8 senior teachers. There are 543 students who are studying on the faculty, 274 of them are studying by the correspondence.

There are 5 classrooms equipped with multimedia facilities, 25 laboratories; 11 classrooms, two computer labs.

Eucational base of the faculty includes: educational workshops, machine and tractor depot, machine yard, car service station. Basic farmsteads: Economy “Agrocultura – Ternopil”, “Agroprodservice”, “Victoria 92”.

Research is performed in the following areas: energy-conservation technologies in agriculture; production and use of biodiesel; development of technological processes of production and use of biogas from biomass; grinding technology of biomass to produce biogas; Biogas production from wood and wild energy plants, the study of the properties of organic and mineralized fertilizers and sludge, information support of design and use of resource conservation, ecologically safe agricultural technology systems; reconstruction and landscaping of gardens and parks.

Faculty graduates, with diplomas of professionals, also receive certificates of assignment of the next working professionals: tractor-driver, the driver of category B and C, vehicles repairman, computer operator, landscape architect.

The achievements of computer and information and communication technologies are widely implemented in the educational process of the faculty.

Students have the opportunity of probation on farms of Switzerland, USA, Canada, of Denmark and Austria.
