The faculty of "Energetics, Automatics and Energy Saving" – is one of the oldest departments of the Institute. Its origins comes from 1961, when was made the first admission of students on the specialty "Electrification of Agriculture."

The faculty provides training for specialists:

EQL "Bachelor" in the areas of: 6.100101 "Energetics and electro-technical systems in agroindustry"

EQL "Specialist" in the specialty: 7.10010101 "Energetics of  agricultural production."

EQL "Master" in the specialty: 8.10010103 "Electrification and Automation of Agriculture".

There are the following departments on the faculty:

• Energetics and automatics;
• Electrotechnologies and exploitation of electrical equipment;
• Information technologies and higher mathematics.

  Teaching and educational process on the faculty is provided by 42 research and educational workers: including 6 doctors and 26 candidates of sciences, 10 senior lecturers and assistants.

 Training and industrial base of the faculty includes academic buildings with total area of 2783 m2, 30 labs and classrooms, workshops for practices.

  Scientific researches are performed in the following areas: energy-saving technologies, the quality of electricity, optimization of electrical systems with renewable energy sources, electrical technologies in increasing the efficiency of agricultural production based on electromagnetic fields of different frequency range, modeling of processes of small farms, object recognition and robotics, information management of training – educational process.

  The teaching process involves continuous computer training, for which are created new computer labs equipped with modern personal computers with entry to the Internet and computerized work places in specialized laboratories.

  According to statistics, about 65 percent of employees of regional energy networks of Western Ukraine are graduates of our faculty. Around 80 percent of electrotechnical staff of agricultural companies of different forms of ownership in the district are also our graduates.

  There are created favorable conditions for students of our faculty to identify their creative abilities. On the faculty function scientific and scientific-engineering groups, which work on new devices and non-standard equipment, used for the arrangement of laboratories and classrooms. Besides that, there are regularly conducted competitions for the best knowledge of the course, exhibitions of technical creativity of students, competitions for the best in the profession.

  Students of the faculty have trainings on the farms of Switzerland, USA, Canada, Denmark and Austria. These contacts are continuously developing and growing. In addition, there are concluding agreements on student exchange with universities in Poland.
